FlexAtThreads x Remote Working

Threads Styling

Introducing | FlexAtThreads

What you said

In Q1, we came, we saw and we chatted HARD. You told us that above all else, you wanted to know whether or not you were expected to go back to the office full time, as you were digging the extra commute-free time, puppy walks and lunch with the fam (awww). Some of you are thinking about moving out of the city, so you asked to know our position on this as soon as we were ready to share.

HOWEVER, you also want to come together to do cool stuff regularly and to know when other people will be in our offices. (More on this in a few weeks.)

We wish we looked this cool WFH

What we’re saying

We’re 100% picking up what you’re putting down, and after doing some calculations in our virtual people lab, we’re saying we want to experiment with up to 60% remote working where we can, and we want to do it as soon as we’re all feeling comfortable enough to think about the new normal.

That is 3 out of 5 days a week that you could be living your best loungewear life, depending on your main working activity (Look out for details on activity-based working soon)

Remote working and you

You’re special (obvs) and so is your team. The department you work in has its own ways of working that keep our ecosystem slick AF. Not all departments are going to be able to work remotely for the full 60% of the time as their activities don’t make it possible (more on activity-based working coming soon). DON’T WORRY. If this is you, we’ve got lots of other juicy ways you can find your flex. Want to know how often you can work remotely? Ask your line manager for more details, or wait for the “flexiquette” sessions.

What’s next?

There are three more announcements coming up. Once we’ve shared these, and we know more about the new normal, each team will have a “flexiquette” session with their manager and people partner so we can start to get our game ON. We’ll also provide guidelines and detailed instructions for all the trials, so you’re fully informed before we kick anything off.

What you need to do

Keep an eye on IG for the drops over the coming weeks, or chat with your line manager if you can’t contain the excitement (it’s lockdown after all, this might be the hottest thing on your feed right now).

Pics or the new normal didn't happen

BUT WHEN THOUGH???

The short answer is “When we’re in the new normal”. We don’t know when that is (neither does Boris), but it won’t be any earlier than September. It’s important to us that we don’t rush the big “come back” and that we make it as smooth and stress-free as possible because, for a lot of us, the last 12 months are the only Threads we’ve known, so this is mega. Also, we need time to plan the comeback outfit. #thechoiceanxietyisreal.
